Judge Requirements & Applications

There are no requirements or applications needed to be able to host Classic and Sporting shows (Petz Basic, Agility, Frisbee, Mousing, Trick, and Fun shows); anyone may open these shows and judge them.

For Conformation shows, we require users to fulfil the following criteria in order to become a conformation judge:

• Has to have hosted 30 Classic shows on the UKC platform, ideally within the last 6 months
• Has to have personally shown 10 petz to Conformation Champion
• Has to possess a good understanding of how the breed standards and standard definition docs work, and what the information within them means

If you fulfill these criteria, and are interested in becoming a Conformation Judge at UKC, please message KingHarry or Hoodie. Previous conformation judges on PKC can bypass these criteria if they are wanting to get back in and judge - just message KingHarry or Hoodie so they can get the role given to you.

Please bear in mind that decisions are made on an individual basis, so fulfilling these criteria does not automatically mean that you will be accepted as a Conformation Judge.

A-Reg Acceptance

Conformation Stewards are the members that can accept petz registrations - please bear in mind that there are not many of us, so at times this process can be slow! If you disagree with a judgement or decision made by the stewards regarding the A-registration of a pet, you are welcome to question it. Sometimes, a steward may mis interpret your pet, and giving extra information can change the decision. Adding your pet's colour to its profile page will help reduce this possibility. If you believe that your pet was rejected because a doc is missing something, you are also welcome to submit a standard update request.

UKC are also open to welcoming more stewards, however this requires a little more than being a conformation judge. The criteria for applying to be a Conformation Steward are as follows:

• Has to have personally shown 20 petz to Conformation Champion
• Has to possess a strong understanding of how the breed standards and standard definition docs work, and what the information within them means
• Conformation judging experience would be ideal, but is not required
• Some understanding of real-life cat/dog genetics is ideal, but is not required
